Zeeshan Ali Khan is a development sector professional with over seven years’ of experience in the non-profit sector of Pakistan. He is currently 30 years old and belongs to Faisalabad region of the Punjab province. Zeeshan holds a masters degree in population sciences and an M. Phil in sociology. Throughout his professional experience, he has worked with a number of national and international development organizations and think tanks in Pakistan including; the Oxford Policy Management, Population Council, Rural Development Policy Institute, Sustainable Development Policy Institute, Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives, and with Accountability Lab in different capacities.
The diverse experience at these prominent and credible non-profit organizations in Pakistan has helped Zeeshan strong skills in project management, research, community mobilization, event management, stakeholders’ engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and donors’ coordination. For last four years or so, working as a project lead, he was responsible to liaison with some of the largest donors in Pakistan, including the DFID, USAID, the World Bank, International Labor Organization, Australian Aid, Making All Voices Count, GIZ, and Development Alternative Inc. (DAI).
In the personal capacity, Zeeshan loves spending time with his friends and family. He is a good cricket player who also loves to watch football. His home-time interests including watching television shows on current issues, sports matches, and theatre performances.

The advocacy campaign particularly targeted members of national and provincial legislative assemblies, and required them to raise voice at the respective forum for not only protection of minorities rights, but also to do the needful if further legislation was required for the same.

Moreover, I also led the organization of public events in the targeted districts, and produced op-ed articles in the Urdu newspapers for promotion of public private partnership for dispensation of quality education in the targeted districts.

I have over two years of working in the health-care sector. Most of this work related to field research, collection of data, and monitoring and evaluation of the public health service deliveries. Most significant of this work included a study on ‘complication of post abortion care’, and on ‘assessing the retention of public health service providers’. Under the Citizen Damage Compensation Program too, I built a portfolio and details of diseases that hit the affectees of the flood affected areas. Finally, I led a baseline survey for the population council of Pakistan on ‘family advancement for life and health’.

My Association with the Oxford Policy Management (OPM) was more of a field researcher and monitoring and evaluation officer. Besides this, I was also engaged in development of research tools/questionnaires, and in literature review for the research publications.
